Jean Paul Gaultier Denim-Gürtel Blau
From the curated archive of Disorder119. This rare utility tent from the Jean Paul Gaultier Jeans line dates from the experimental phase of the late 1990s to early 2000s, in which Gaultier deliberately conceived accessories as independent garments. Made of heavy dark denim, the belt combines classic jeans processing with functional and sculptural elements. Both-sided cargo bags with snaps and striking contrast seams give the piece a utilitarian, almost modular character. The iconic metal clasp with embossed "Gaultier Jeans Paris" lettering – a clear archive feature and strong collector's detail. Such belts were produced only in very limited quantities and are therefore rare today. Wearable over trousers, skirts or styled directly on the body, this piece stands as an example for Gaultier's playful handling of function, body and fashion as a construction.
